River House Roof Restoration

Fronting Storrow Drive, The River House is an optimum location to have rooftop fun! So a rooftop deck above the new roof with breathtaking views of the Charles River, and The Esplinade became the challenge. Revere St. had to be shut-down for a couple of select days to accommodate material deliveries during the different phases of work. That was the easy part, getting the new deck to look pretty, unseen from Storrow Dr., and suspended above the new roof was the actual challenge. We built 8'x8' grids, and placed the corners of the grids on 12" columns. 50 strategically placed pipe columns became the support for the 32' x 96' roof deck. The residents claim there's nowhere else to be on the 4th of July!
