The crown of the Jeweler's building was beginning to crumble, and
falling masonry on Washington St. had to be prevented. Initially, we
installed debris netting at night from 125' Hi-Lift as working from the
street during the day was not permitted. That was January, and in
October we began the permanent repairs from scaffolding. Once
the scaffolding was erected, a closer inspection of the building was
performed, and many deficiencies revealed. While the crown (brick
parapet) was cracking, the entire building had select areas of
cracking as well. A methodic approach allowed us to identify, and
eliminate the noted cracks just in time for the Christmas shopping
season.
